Of Ships and Oceans

Your problem might be as big as a ship, but God will give the solutions as wide as the ocean.
This quote has a feel-good vibe about it, but made me uncomfortable. Ships always float on water. So, in general, the ocean doesn’t always get the better of the ship. The ship just merrily rides over the waves and reaches its destination. Infact the ship uses the ocean for accomplishing its purpose. The analogy falls flat when you think of this! Do Gods solutions actually help the problems achieve its goals? If the problem needs to disappear or be taken care of, the ship needs to sink!
On a better note, the analogy drawn is just to the size and you can comfort yourself saying that the solution is bigger than the problem. Maybe we’ll tink of it at that level only for now.
